I'm mum to Oliver, who is now 10. Ollie attended Kids Academy for 4 years when he was younger and I've kept in touch with the staff on Facebook over the last few years. When Carol, manager of Kids Academy, called to tell me about their fund raising plans for Cancer Research UK I was happy to get involved.
As a wedding photographer, I'm used to photographing children and getting them to relax quickly, so 10-15 minute sessions should be enough to obtain several different family portraits. You will get a proof card of your four photos and will be able to choose whatever you like. There is no obligation to purchase any prints. You can even buy a CD of your photos and home print them if you prefer.
**Please note: You may be photographed using the latest Chromakey "Green Screen" technology so please do not wear green clothing**

How many pictures will you take?
You will have approx 10-15 minutes photography time and we will aim to take 4 different groups or poses. So, you could have a photo of your children, then with parents, then with grandparents. The proof card will have four different photos on it and it is up to you to decide what you would like to choose.
How much will the photographs cost?
Various packages are available priced between £12.50 and £30. So you could get a professionally produced and printed family portrait done for just £17.50 including your session fee!
Can I order other products or only prints?
You will have various print package options to choose from on the proof card. In addition to these options, Ollievision offers full professional printing for almost any product you can imagine via the UK’s top professional print lab.
Where exactly do I go?
Park in the ASDA car park or get off the bus at ASDA. Walk towards the Holt Park centre but do not enter it. When you get to the entrance, veer right and walk up past the bus stop and through the doctor’s surgery car park. You will then see the green railings at Kids Academy. Keep going straight ahead and you’ll see the door.
How does the event raise funds for charity?
The £5 portrait session fee is a donation to Cancer Research UK. In addition to this, the charity will receive 25% proceeds from every package of photographs purchased.
How do we pay for prints?
Payment for prints will be at the time of ordering (after you get your proof card). You will be able to pay via Paypal, bank transfer or cheque.
What is Chromakey/ green screen?
This is the latest technology for background replacement. You are photographed against a green background which is then digitally replaced with a more pleasing backdrop. If green features in your clothes, even as a logo or pattern, the computer will replace it with the background. Families wearing green will be photographed without using Chromakey.
